About WebIPTool

WebIPTool answers one question quickly, “what is my IP address?”, and then helps with the questions that usually follow: what that address means, what others can learn from it, and how the network behind it works.

What you will find here

How the site is run

Your address is shown, not stored. The site reads your IP address from your request, displays it, and keeps no record of it. The same goes for anything you enter into the tools. See the Privacy Policy.

No probing tools. There is no port scanner, ping, or traceroute here. Those send traffic to other people’s systems. Everything on this site either reads public records or runs in your own browser.

Sources are named. Guides link to the standards and registries they draw on. Where a tool uses third-party data, the provider is credited next to the result.

Advertising pays the bills. The site is free and funded by clearly labeled ads. Ads never appear above your IP address, inside a tool, or on the legal and contact pages.

Who writes it

WebIPTool is built and written by Juan Restrepo.

[JUAN: write your bio here. Two or three short paragraphs work well. Suggested points: your work in business connectivity (fiber, dedicated internet, mobility), what your home lab is for, why you built this site, and what readers can expect from the guides.]

Corrections
