Good reasons to write
- A correction. Something in a guide is wrong, unclear, or out of date.
- A tool problem. A lookup returned something that looks wrong, or the page did not work in your browser. It helps to include the browser and device you were using.
- A privacy question or request. See the Privacy Policy for what the site does and does not keep.
- API questions. If you need higher limits or something behaves unexpectedly. The API page covers the basics.
What we cannot help with
- Identifying or locating someone from an IP address. The site cannot do this, and neither can we. Only an internet provider can link an address to a customer, and generally only through a legal process. What your IP address reveals explains why.
- Problems with your internet service. Your provider’s support team is the right place for those. Our guides may still help you describe the issue.
